Youth Tech Skills

I’m an advocate for youth empowerment through technology. My work with Black Tech Lead has enabled me to reach nearly 1,000 young Africans through mentorship, training sessions, and conferences like Women Techmakers Accra, Blossom Data Women Fellowship, and Youth in AI.

  1. Role: YALI (Young African Leaders Initiative)Sector-Specific Advisory Committe ( Cohort 49- Digital Technologies for Africa). Contribution: I was invited to participate in the advisory and development of the first-ever YALI West Africa Regional Leadership Center course on “Digital Technologies for Solving Community Challenges.” This included brainstorming sessions, curriculum design, course creation, and course presentation.

2. I served as a coach for a group of fifteen young students in the YALI Sector-Specific program for 3 different program cohorts.

3. In January, 2024, I was on an exclusive roundtable discussion that brought together influential leaders and experts like Professor Enock Antwi ( a dean at the Academic City University College ), Yaw Appiah Lartey, ESQ, FCCA, FCA, a Senior Partner Deloitte, Mr. Andrew Adu from TVET, and Ms. Eva Kuupuo. , by the policy thinkthank organization, Enterprise Bureau. We deliberated on “The Future of Work: The Megatrends of Job Creation.” As a guest on the panel, I spoke exclusively on the Gig economy, reiterating the importance of preparing for a new future and the nature of work in Africa.

4. In 2024, I had a special Invitation to the Residence of the Ghanaian British High Commissioner, H.E. Harriet Thompson at her residence. We spoke on advancing the work of youth and STEM.

5. In July 2023, I was honored to join a distinguished panel of other young leaders alongside a special delagation including Kurt Campbell, US Deputy Secretary of State; Virginia Palmer, US Ambassador to Ghana; Kitty Andang, Acting Mission Director- USAID West Africa; Molly Phee, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of African Affairs; Richard Michaels; Grace Pringles; and Prof. Samuel Bonsu, Rector of GIMPA.

Our discussions centered on fostering an ecosystem where young Africans can develop groundbreaking tech solutions. We explored opportunities in health, AI, and data. A particular highlight was the Acting Mission Director’s praise for my response to a question from the Secretary General.
